Girls on the Run of Nebraska

Girls on the Run of Nebraska is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident with a life-skills curriculum that incorporates physical activity. We provide afterschool programming to 1,200 girls at 85 sites across the state each year. Program locations are led by volunteers who are trained to deliver the curriculum.

Girls on the Run of Nebraska provides afterschool programs that build confidence, character and physical activity in third- through sixth-grade girls. Over each two-month season, participants complete a nationally standardized curriculum that teaches life skills like problem-solving, positive thinking and goal-setting. Physical activity is incorporated with the lessons to prepare for a 5K run/walk at the end of the season.
