In partnership with El Centro de las Américas, the Asian Community & Cultural Center offers FREE citizenship classes for permanent residents / green card holders. Lutheran Family Services and Catholic Social Services are also partners in this program to provide students who complete a 10 week class free legal assistance with their N-400 applications from one of their DOJ's or lawyers. Volunteer responsibilities include: Assist teacher with classroom set up / clean up, Welcome students as they walk in, Help students with class activities, help them learn material, Watch the children of those attending the class Citizenship class instructors are seeking up to two volunteers assigned per class. Volunteers are needed for three separate shifts throughout the day, detailed below.
