We are seeking responsible and caring volunteer drivers to help transport students from local schools to the community center each afternoon. Position Summary: Volunteer Van Transportation Drivers play a vital role in ensuring children arrive safely and on time to participate in after-school programming. Drivers operate passenger vans along assigned routes, maintain a friendly and positive attitude, and follow all safety procedures and traffic laws. Responsibilities: Safely transport children ages 5–13 from designated schools to the community center. Follow established routes and pick-up schedules provided by program staff. Ensure all passengers are seated and wearing seat belts before the vehicle moves. Maintain a calm, positive, and professional demeanor with children and staff. Communicate with program coordinators about any route changes, delays, or concerns. Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections. Keep the van clean and organized. Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately.Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Ability to pass a background check and driving record review. Experience working with or around children preferred. Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. This volunteer helps prepare, serve, and clean up snacks or meals while ensuring food safety and supporting a nurturing environment for youth. Key Responsibilities: Serve healthy snacks or meals to children in a respectful, friendly, and efficient manner. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with Level 2 Food Handler Certification standards. Maintain cleanliness of serving areas, tables, and food storage spaces. Assist with setup and cleanup before and after meal service. Support staff in promoting a positive dining atmosphere and appropriate mealtime behavior. Interact positively with children and staff while maintaining professional boundaries. Report any safety, health, or behavioral concerns to the Site Supervisor immediately.Qualifications: Must hold a Level 2 Food Handler Certificate (must obtain before volunteering).
