Description

ACCC will host the 2024 Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration event at the Sandhills Global Event Center (Lancaster Event Center) Lincoln Room on May 19th from 1-5PM. We will have cultural performances, food samples, fun family activities, and resources for newcomers to our community at the event.

Volunteers are needed for three separate shifts throughout the day, detailed below.

Shift 1 - Setup: 9am-1pm Shift 2 - Work Event: 12-5pm Shift 3 - Cleanup: 4:30pm-6pm

Duties:

Start at the Asian Center to load vans, take items to event site

A. set up tables, put a stamp and sign on each table 
B. hang up lanterns, set up photo background 
C. set up food tables at 12pm 
D. picking up food at 11:30am 

*Food arrives by 12:15pm

Duties:

A. ACCC Welcoming Table
B. ACCC prize table
C. ACCC food tables (help carry food in and out, serve) 
D. Thu's photobooth 
E. Youth Program tables
F. ACCC merch/sales table 

*Volunteers working the event during this shift should wear black or green.

Duties:

A. Put ACCC stuff away
B. Pick up trash from floor
C. Tear down decorations
D. Take items to ACCC vehicles
E. Go back to ACCC to unload the vans
