Volunteer: Court Monitor

The court monitoring program helps to ensure that impaired driving cases in Nebraska are handled consistently and swiftly, that victims are treated appropriately, and their rights are upheld during court proceedings.

As a Court Monitor Volunteer, individuals are responsible for collecting and observing the court system. There are both in-person and virtual opportunities within the Court Monitoring program.

Walk Like MADD planning committee volunteers have the opportunity to become the driving force behind MADD's signature fundraising and awareness event. Volunteers work with staff and committee to plan the logistics of the walk event, reach out to local businesses for sponsorships and in-kind donations, recruit individual and team walkers, and help to steer all areas of the walk event to ensure a memorable experience for all attending. This is a great opportunity for students wanting to learn more about event planning and non-profit events. All volunteers helping will need good communication skills and great teamwork ability. The walk event works to remember those we have lost to impaired driving, Inspire us all to end drunk driving and commit to a future with no more victims.

Time Commitment: 5- 10 hours per week; one year commitment.
