Who We Are
The Lincoln Bike Kitchen is to transform lives by making cycling accessible to people in need. We refurbish donated bicycles and distribute them to people in our community facing financial or situational barriers, expanding access to safe, reliable bikes and bike-related resources. We are a community-building organization that advocates for utilitarian bicycling as a vital part of a healthy, equitable and sustainable community. We connect cycling to broader environmental and social issues through outreach and education. We envision LBK to be the hub between community and cycling.
What We Do
The Lincoln Bike Kitchen provides refurbished bikes to community members facing financial or situational barriers, so anyone that wants to be biking can be, for free. LBK empowers people in our local community of Lincoln by actively promoting and advocating for cycling. It is volunteer-driven, supported by donations (bikes, parts, tools, money) from the community.
