Who We Are

City of Lincoln Parks and Recreation department manages 166 parks, 183 miles of trails, 95 playgrounds, over 83,000 street trees, nine public pools, 6 recreation centers, 5 community learning centers, 5 golf courses, 5 dog runs, 2 spray grounds (1 free), 5 disc golf courses, a nature center, and various beautiful public gardens.

What We Do

Lincoln Parks and Recreation has many volunteer opportunities: coaching youth, special events, parks and trail clean ups, and landscape maintenance. Choose from activities for individuals, organizations and businesses, as well as one-day events or monthly VIP (Volunteers In Parks) activities.
