People's Pantry Volunteering

Pantry volunteers can support operations of food distribution and may be asked to do the following tasks:

• Stocking, organizing, and palletizing food items

• Assisting with restocking coolers, shelves, and produce stand 

• Supporting guests as they navigate the pantry space

• Collecting and returning carts to maintaining flow of traffic

• Distribute diaper packs to families

• Greeting our community with kindness as they shop

• Answering questions or finding a staff member who can support community questions

• Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

This can be an active role that may involve standing, walking, and lifting. Volunteers should be comfortable working in a team setting and engaging respectfully with diverse populations.
