Experience Volunteers are individuals who are completing volunteer hours in their free-time or for required hours through a college/school course. Experience Volunteers' main objective is to mentor and supervise the youth at Lighthouse. Responsibilities include:
- Being a positive role model to youth by demonstrating a positive attitude, behavior, and initiating activities and modeling active listening in conversations.
- Provide supervision in activity areas ensuring that appropriate behaviors are reinforced/praised and inappropriate behaviors are corrected.
- Provide tutoring to all youth that come to Lighthouse.
- Assist Program Coordinator with program implementation when requested.
- Assist with completion of nightly checklist that includes cleaning.
