Welcome to Voices of Hope!
We are looking for volunteers to help with our 24-hour crisis line!
Voices of Hope is a local non-profit organization that has been in our community for 49 years! We serve victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and related types of abuse. We operate 24-hours through our advocacy response to the hospitals and LPD as well through our 24-hour crisis line that operates thanks to our wonderful volunteers!

What does this mean:
You are able to provide support, validation, resources and valuable human connection to our community.
You can pick up shifts at your own schedule!
Mon. – Fri. after 5pm and full days on weekends.
Shifts are 3, 4 and 8 hours long!
Calls come through an answering service and comes directly to your phone to ensure confidentiality on both ends.
Crisis line is staffed 24/7, you will always have staff support during your shift(s).
Requirements:
Complete an application, interview, background check and a 34-hour training.
Training is offered three times a year in January-February, May, and August.
You’ll learn crisis intervention skills, domestic violence, sexual assault dynamics and much more that will help you through your professional and personal growth.
