In partnership with El Centro de las Américas, the Asian Community & Cultural Center offers FREE citizenship classes for permanent residents / green card holders. Lutheran Family Services and Catholic Social Services are also partners in this program to provide students who complete a 10 week class free legal assistance with their N-400 applications from one of their DOJ's or lawyers.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Assist teacher with classroom set up / clean up,
- Welcome students as they walk in,
- Help students with class activities, help them learn material,
- Watch the children of those attending the class
Citizenship class instructors are seeking up to two volunteers assigned per class
